“A mathematician, like a painter or a poet, is a maker of patterns. If his patterns are more permanent than theirs, it is because they are made with ideas.” – G. H. Hardy

This is a personal blog by Samir Khan, an undergraduate at the University of Chicago. I’m interested in math, especially probability and statistics, applications of those to things like machine learning, and parts of theoretical computer science relevant to machine learning. Most of the posts here are about things I’m trying to learn, things I’ve already learned that I think are cool, or small projects I’ve worked on that I think are fun.

If you’d like to get in touch, I can be reached at samirkhan AT uchicago DOT edu.
